This month marks IT Solutions’ 25th anniversary of business. To put that into perspective Google did not exist and cell phones were the size of bricks. In 1994 the original Lion King hit the big screens while the TV sitcom Friends aired for the first time. A gallon of gas was $1.08, and Yahoo and Amazon were just founded as online chat and book store sites.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 20 percent of small businesses fail in their first year, 50 percent fail after five years and 70 percent of small businesses fail in their 10th year of business, with the average company lifespan being 15 years.
Ten years beyond that average and we’re still going strong, and it’s not by mere luck that we’ve made it this far. It takes something special for a business to keep its doors open for a quarter century, especially in a rapidly evolving and competitive industry like ours.
Twenty-five years of building strategic partnerships, adapting innovative technologies and improving processes have transformed IT Solutions from a solo venture start-up in 1994 to the 100% employee-owned and award-winning solutions provider it is today.
And what’s even more exciting is that we’re just getting started. This month we announced our largest acquisition in ITS history and we’re looking forward to continuing our expansion plans in order to provide all of our new clients with the same top-notch support the ITS client base has been receiving to date.
