Limited Seats Available for EMR Seminar
On May 13th IT Solutions will be offering an exclusive
guided tour of gloEMR, the electronic medical records software we
are now representing as part of our SharedVision M.D. program.
SharedVision M.D.
Dinner and a Demo will be held at The Palm in Center City,
Philadelphia and show medical providers how they can dramatically
cut practice costs (including transcription services) and improve
efficiencies through gloEMR.
We’ll also review the
specifics of the recently passed economic stimulus package, and how
you can leverage this unprecedented legislation, to get a certified
EMR package like gloEMR up and running at less cost than ever
before. With $44,000 of federal stimulus reimbursement available
per doctor, there has never been a better time to purchase an EMR
product.
Who is gloStream? gloStream (www.glostream.com)
is a software development company that makes gloEMR - a 2007 CCHIT-certified
system that couples advanced voice recognition with dynamic
templates built on the Microsoft platform to allow physicians to
shape electronic documents to the way they practice. The application
provides single-click access to a full range of patient data and
clinical decision tools and converts, in real time, the dictation of
physicians’ notes into precise and accurate documents.

7 Ways
Technology Saves Money
reprinted
with permission from the Microsoft Small Business Center
By Jeff Wuorio
Every
small business owner knows that new technology can be pricey.
But technology can
also pay in the form of significant savings-particularly over
the long haul.
Savings from
technology isn't just a matter of plugging in a new gizmo and
watching the cash roll in. You have to evaluate your priorities
and choose the right technology that meets your operating and
budgetary requirements.
With that approach
in mind, here are seven ways that technology can save your small
business money:

Business Continuity
Workshop
In response to our
well-attended Surviving and Thriving 2009 seminar held last
week for about 45 clients and prospects, IT Solutions is pleased to
offer a follow-up Business Continuity Workshop on June 2nd.
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview on how to plan
and prepare for any type of disaster that could impact your
business. From something seemingly benign like a snow storm that
prevents staff from getting to the office, to something physically
damaging like flood or fire, this workshop will provide everything
you need to know to get your plan off the ground. Included is a
detailed introduction to Survivor or Statistic, a user-friendly
web-based disaster planning tool.
Survivor or Statistic founder Pete Heles will be joining
certified SOS IT Solutions representatives for this highly
informative workshop presentation.
ITS
clients got a personalized profile of the local and national economy
from Surviving and Thriving keynote speaker Dr. John Silvia,
Chief Economist of Wachovia.
►
The June 2nd workshop is
FREE to attendees of last week’s Surviving and Thriving
event. And for the first 10 registrants not affiliated with
Surviving and Thriving, we’re offering $100 off of the standard

credit must pay $495.

Warning: Don't
Ignore COBRA Rules
reprinted with
permission from the Microsoft Small Business Center
By Joanna L. Krotz
Fair warning:
This is not fun. It's exactly the part of running a business
that entrepreneurs love to hate.
And that's
undoubtedly why so many otherwise savvy business owners end up
sidestepping COBRA regulations - a decision far from smart.
COBRA, of course,
began as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act
signed into law in 1985 by President Reagan. It requires
employers to offer qualified individuals the option of
continuing their group health plan coverage when they're about
to lose it.

Local Resources
Available for Old
Computer Disposal
Not sure how to
dispose of your old equipment? Fortunately there are local
resources available to make it easy for you and safe for the
environment. Counties have hazardous waste recycling days for
the proper disposal of a number of materials that should not go
out with regular trash.
Visit this link for an up-to-date listing of Southeastern PA
hazardous waste drop-off days. Most events include computer
drop-offs, but look for an "e" marking just to be sure.
Can’t make it to a
drop-off site? Consider hiring a company to remove the old
equipment for you. New Jersey-based
New Tech Recycling takes care of safe disposal of all
electronic devices, including computers, monitors, printers, and
cell phones. |
