IT Solutions Running for
Charity - Part II
In last month's
newsletter, we introduced our charity for 2006 – The
Philadelphia Race for the Cure – benefiting the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation. Within minutes of the newsletter
being sent, we had received our first pledges. In just the
first few weeks of our pledge drive, many of you have already
given to the cause. As of today, we have received over $2,300
in donations to our team. And the Race is still weeks
away.
This month's letter
serves two purposes. First, to thank you for your
support. It's comforting to know that so many of the
people and companies we deal with are as generous as you've
been. Second, I want to remind everyone that there's still
time to contribute to this worthwhile cause. Either by
joining our ITS team and gathering pledges, or by pledging to
a member of our team. There is a link at the bottom of
this article that will allow you to do either of these online.
And remember, every pledge dollar you give will be matched by
IT Solutions whether you're on our team or pledge to the
team.
For those of you
who may not be familiar with the Komen Foundation or the Race
for the Cure, The Komen Foundation is one of the largest
cancer foundations in the country and has raised hundreds of
millions of dollars worldwide in support of breast cancer
research. One of the main avenues the foundation uses to raise
funds is its annual "Race for the Cure". The Philadelphia
Race for the Cure will be held on Mother's Day, May 14th 2006
at the Art Museum in Philadelphia. It's a 5k race (about 3
miles) that starts at 8:15am. Last year, almost 40,000 people
ran or walked in the event and raised more than $3
million.
To join or pledge
to our team, click here . You can either select a team
member to support, or make a general donation to the ITS team.
Either way, we'll match your donation. To join our team, click
on the “Join ITS” link at the bottom left of our team
page.
Feel free to pass
this newsletter on to as many people as you like. The more
people we can get involved in this effort, the better. If you
have any questions about the event or about the Komen
Foundation in general, please contact Lauren Kane at Lauren.Kane@itsolutions-inc.com
or 215-886-7166 x39.
Thanks again for
your support, Ted Swanson, President |

Setting Goals for
Your Website So your business doesn't have a Web site?
Brace yourself for raised eyebrows and blank stares.
Today, it seems
like everybody has a Web site, whether it's a small or a large
business, an individual or an organization. Without a Web
site, your business is missing out on a relatively
inexpensive, yet very effective way to reach out to a
widespread audience beyond your local customer base. However,
having a Web presence is only valuable if the site serves a
purpose and fulfills a certain set of goals that you designate
from the beginning.
Begin by Being
Consistent So what should these goals be? First and
foremost, before you tackle your Web site, you need to really
get to know your business.
How familiar are
you with your business' vision or mission statement? Does your
business have a vision or mission statement? If so, review or
develop them before you attempt to build your Web site.
